Statement
From cradle to grave beds are an integral part of life. Most of us are born in a bed. We dream, procreate, and recuperate in beds. Some of us die in bed.
Quilts provide comfort and warmth while we are in bed. Using traditional quilt pattern and sometimes unsettling photographic imagery, our “Swaddling to Shroud” series explores the relationship of quilts and the bed to different stages of our lives.
